Sardinia’s largest city (with a little over 150,000 people) and its capital for centuries, Cagliari on the island’s south coast offers the perfect mix of recreation and exploration options. The five-mile-long Poetto Beach is among the best city beaches on the Mediterranean, and together with the adjacent Marina Piccola, satisfies all manner of sun and sea pursuits. Seekers of culture will love Cagliari’s old district, Castello, where 13th-century towers still guard the medieval city walls.

In Cagliari there is a new and charming Bed and Breakfast, MARINA DI CASTELLO. An appartment designed and restored on the top floor of an historical building (Palazzo Leone Manca - circa 900). This renovated B&B represents a very new, different and an innovative alternative to a luxury hotel. It is located in Roma Street (via Roma) in the Marina neighbourhood which is strategically placed opposite the city’s most prestigious port.
This is a really lovely hotel with lots of personal touches. Firstly Sabrina is the best ever host and nothing is too much trouble. Then there is the beautiful terrace with views across the harbour where an excellent breakfast is served. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a small kitchen to make coffees etc. Sabrina recommended places to eat and a wonderful bar to watch the sunset which was not in any of the guide books. It could not have been better!

Spotless Superclean Place. Very nice rooms. Also a very well organised and varied breakfast in this cute apartment. Location depends, for us with our own vehicle its an ideal 10min away from city centre. Ada was also helpful in sorting us a garage over the night for the bike.

In the middle of the city, the hotel is really nicely located. The rooms are amazing! The shower is just huge and everything is perfectly clean. A big and special thank you to Luca from the reception who gave us really nice advices of places we have to see or places where we could eat local food in non-touristic restaurants. He will help you as much as he can, every time with the smile behind the mask. A great great hotel that I recommend and that I will visit again if I come back once!

In the center of Cagliari there is Foyer, a luxury bed & breakfast with exclusive rooms and designer suites. Plenty of space, harmony in colors and furnishings, special attention to the quality of sleep and the tranquility of its guests. You'll find this and much more in our boutique hotel in Cagliari, close to history, culture, shopping and flavors of the Sardinian
The hotel was flawless. Everyday a maid cleaned our room and made our beds. We got a dinner and the owner was politely asking us whether we have everything. He lent us umbrellas when we needed and complied with all we asked. Although the owner did not speak advanced English, he was pretty good at it in comparison with other Italians on other places.

The Giardino Segreto is a boutique hotel that offers a charming welcome with its rooms furnished with the typical Sardinian furnishing including textiles weaved with traditional looms, ceramics and iron. Located in the heart of the historic district of Stampace, in the city centre, it is closed to all the major attractions of the city, all reachable by foot, including the tourist harbour, the railway station, archaeological sights, hospitals and clinics, shopping roads and all the places to eat.
A room for 3 could barely fit us. Terrace: i would call it more a washing machine storage. During our absence the stuff has used our room as a corridor to the terrace to make a laundry. Where is the privacy? After entering the room they did not even make a proper service. Beds were undone, airco switched off and of course they checked the little fridge and count missing items. In real hotels they do it upon check out. We felt not very nice over there. When we checked out, the stuff immediately entered our room to check if we perhaps did not steal anything. I did not like this behaviour at all. I am quite often in Cagliari but this,, garden,, i will certainly avoid.

Considering the price we paid for it and the Stellar location it was a good find as it is. And given that it was in a charming old heritage building that has been delightfully refurbished and fitted with modern amenities made it even more appealing, as not many heritage building hotels have fine comforts like this one. LOCATION: Wonderful location close to the Central Station and easy access to all points of Interest and the Airport: DINE + DRINK: Didnt notice any place to drink or eat on site, which is ok given you are a stone’s throw away from great establishments to eat and drink ROOM: We stayed in Room #105, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Lovely Huge Balcony with pretty views of the pastel colored buildings in the street below; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Small, but decently functioning cooler that helped in setting the room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Not much, Do Bring your own! FACILITIES: No gym or pool , just pure Island chill! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel at home. Special Shout out to Andrea the Manager who gave us a free upgrade to the nicer room HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Didnt have time to check the Channels on the TV, which was a very old school & small screened device!

We only had 15liter of Warm water for two person limited, the fridge was by over 30 degrees without just 1 bottle of water and we had no breakfast although we get this option. During arrival, we were confronted why we don't call them before check in (in a normal day time) ??? All in all a unfriendly and bad conditional Bed and Breakfast, go and look for a more comfortable

Perfect hotel for a city break in Cagliari! We didn’t book a sea view room but still had a perfect view of the marina! The room was modern, clean and fresh! Staff were so welcoming and helpful! Pastries, omelettes and various breakfast items for a quick fuel for the day and easy self check in! 100% recommend! Thank you Birkin Marina ❤️

I have noticed that the majority of reviews of Cagliari Novecento are positive but my experience was not a good one. I stayed there for one night (Thursday 27th of June 2019). Although the one staff member I spoke to was friendly, the room I was allocated was awful. There was a bad smell in the room, it was extremely warm, the skylight wouldn’t close which meant that the room was full of flies and mosquitoes (I got six bites in one night) and the light in the bathroom didn’t work. The following morning I wanted to have a shower before leaving but as soon as I turned the shower on (in the dark) I noticed it was leaking and the floor was full of water. I left as soon as I could. If anyone books Cagliari Novecento remember...AVOID ROOM 26!!!
