We stayed in the Akayet Hotel on Saturday night. We were so impressed. The room very spacious and clean. The only problem is they are not type G outlets. They have one two plug power strip in the room, but not helpful enough if you need to do your hair in the bathroom. However, the food was delicious. I had chicken pasta primavera. It was so delicious and so plentiful that there was enough to save for lunch the next day. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. I can't wait to go there again.

Mama's Place was a clean and hospitable accommodation at a reasonable price. Dinners were very good! We asked if we could learn how to cook TZ and the staff were very accommodating and taught us the whole process!

I had no reservation, but was allowed to pick a room straight away and did not need to give them any personals. I planned to stay here for two nights, but unfortunately I got ill and ended up staying four nights. This was no problem, and the guy even offered to drive me to the hospital for a checkup. However, the shower was broken: no water came from the showerhead, only from the tap underneath, so I had to sit under that. The last two days no water came from either the shower or the bathroom sink at all. I was told on the first day that a plumber had been called but nothing changed. I dined here three times since the l only other restaurant in walking distance very rudely ignored me. Dinner was tasty, affordable and had very big portions. Breakfast is only a baked egg and some toast and is overpriced at 15 cedi, so I took my breakfast at Zaare Smoothie Bar just a bit up the road. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Bed is big and comfortable.

The Ex-Tee Hotel offers unique Ghana lodging. Each hotel room is distinctive, but all have the same hotel amenities that are sure to pamper and relax you. Whether you’re a business traveler looking for lodging near Bolgatanga that can accommodate your needs, or a leisure traveler looking for uniqueness yet to be matched, the Ex-Tee Hotel will be sure to meet all of your needs. All of our hotel rooms have air conditioning.
The Ex-tee annex is incomplete. I stayed there and when never should have been opened. The main part is dated and dirty. I don't recommend either location. The food was terrible. Dont spoil your trip by staying in this hotel.

The location of the hotel puts you within proximity of the market and several shops or supermarkets. These are accessible within walking range. The hotel however has not-so-new rooms with squeaky and old furniture. The curtains in my room looked like they hadn't touched water in a long time. Toilet seat was broken in room 3. There are other budget hotels that are not this beat up.

We stayed here for een few days and though the staff is friendly and try to do their best, iT was not a good experience. The service was extremly slow, some of our group had to wait for 2 Hours for their lunch. And They ordered sandwiches! And we had to leave at 12 and startend asking for the bill at 10:30. At 12 our driver was present but the bill was still not ready. So in the end whe had to make the bill ourselves! That is just plain ridiculous. We would not stay here again, unless They learn from their mistakes and better their service.

I only ate here - or at least I tried to. I sat for a very long time trying to get the attention of a member of staff, but they completely ignored everything I did. Amazing, never been treated this rudely at a restaurant. But apparently they have a reputation for rudeness. I finally left without any staff member even having spoken to me.

The hotel looks pretty enough from the outside. That's about the only thing going for this dump of a place. Unclean rooms, leaky toilets, mops that leave a nauseating smell in the whole room, very unprofessional staff and don't get me started on the restaurant. Never again!

I just spend one night in this Guesthouse, but I really liked my stay there! The host was so friendly and the room was clean :-) Also you can have breakfast, which is quiet cheap. Perfect for Backpackers!

We arrived in Bolgatanga late at night having booked the Samata guest house. We had a bit of trouble finding it as it is just outside Bolga. Whilst not anything like the hotels we usually stay in the place was adequate for our needs. The aircon was very good, the shower left something to be desired but it was en suite and there was water. It was clean even though the walls were a little tatty. The people running the guest house were lovely and tried so hard to please us. The food (extra price) was good with home made european style food and home baked bread and we did not have a stomach upset between the four of us. There was a fridge in the room for the drinks and water which was readily supplied, We are not young - some might say pretty old - so we were no back packers!! We went to the area to help there. If you have to go to Bolga then I would recommend this place. The staff were exceptional and bent over backwards to help us. They did our washing and ironing for us and did not want us to pay them - of course we did.
