Victorian

A beautiful Victorian home, furnished in antiques, with a lovely guest sitting room. There is a waterfront patio area, ideal for waiting around if you arrive early. Anne-Marie provides an overwhelming welcome (rather more so than Europeans like us are used to) and breakfast at a shared, perfectly laid silver service style table, is superb. The bedrooms are period in style, with beautiful decoration although the bed was smaller than ideal for us.

Clean and bright, hosts are cheerful and knowledgeable of the area, coffee around the clock (did I mention the chocolate chip cookies). The breakfast was Great - one of the best in some time. If one is looking to get away and find a relaxed calm place to unwind - this is it. There are still many attractions within a few miles.

Very helpful and polite owner, gorgeous grounds, excellent breakfast with made to order eggs, fresh berries and yogurt. Comfortable beds and very quiet. Beautiful grounds. One big problem for me was the strong smell of air freshener in the room. I could not sleep because of it - it was suffocating.

Charm & Comfort

Reviewed By ImAngelaB2019

We spent two nights in the second-storey Gabriel room, which has a deck off it (door to deck in hallway beside room)., but the temperatures on both days were too hot to sit out, even in late September! Our room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely touches from a long-ago gentler time. Though not air-conditioned, the overhead fan kept our room cool and comfortable. I had read online reviews about the cinnamon blueberry buns...the reviews were correct! We couldn't fit them in at yesterday's breakfast, so we brought them home and just enjoyed them with coffee! Breakfast is very good (especially those buns) and plentiful...we could never eat all that was offered...and the options change daily! Patsy, our hostess, seems to "do it all," the baking/cooking/cleaning/hostessing...and she does it with a smile and a friendliness which we expect to find in Nova Scotian towns! We will likely return, maybe for a wintry getaway...and Patsy promised to test some new recipe ideas on us next time! :-)

Warm and Inviting

Reviewed By Pioneer01078728105

A memorable place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were concerned that we wouldn't fine a restaurant in the area because we were traveling off-season. Thankfully, the owner recommended an amazing restaurant for dinner in nearby Truro. This small gesture of being referred to the restaurant was a lifesaver and made out stay at Cresthaven by the Sea even more memorable. The B&B property is a real gem with amazing views of the Bay of Fundy. The common living area is warm, inviting with and very comfortable; we had the whole place to ourselves. The owner had even made a fire in the fireplace just for us. Our bedroom was spacious; we couldn't ask for better. The B&B is well maintained, clean, and nicely decorated, breakfast was great too! I certainly recommend Cresthaven by the Sea.

Never too Old for an Adventure!

We had a wonderful time this past weekend in Annapolis Royal staying at the Bailey House Bed & Breakfast. The hosts, Suzan and Lucy made us feel welcome. Lucy would greet us with her tail wagging each morning and Suzan is a wealth of information about anything you need to know about Annapolis Royal. Ask her where the best places to eat are, and she’ll make recommendations that won’t disappoint you. However, my favorite place to eat and which I enjoyed the most was the 5 Star Breakfasts that Suzan made for us each morning. The house built in 1770 has been extensively renovated to keep the original charm and character. However, you would have difficulty finding a more updated and modern B&B. We stayed in the John Easson Room that had a fully modern bathroom that featured a walk-in fixed glass screen shower and fixtures, very impressive. Located within walking distance to the downtown shops, restaurants and Fort Anne.
