Hovden Fjellstoge is located at the top of Hovden in the Setesdal Valley, 2,7 km from the village next to the Vidmyr nature reserve and the river Otra. Accommodation is provided in comfortable rooms or cabins. We take pride in serving homemade food inspired by local traditions. During summer there is easy access to the mountain, and several marked summer routes. Other summer favorites include fishing, golf and mountain biking. In the winter season cross-country skiing is available right by Fjellstoga, and alpine skiing is just minutes away with complimentary ski bus.
Very nice and particularly clean room, superb meal and nice staff.
Reviewed By Christian SSpent 1 night here now, over 20 years since my last visit. Tremendous lift in quality in all aspects. This is still a reasonably priced hotel, so it felt like a bargain! The new rooms include a complete kitchen if you feel like cooking, but we chose a superbly prepared dinner with locally fished trout and the breakfast was lovely, varied and rich. Very nice and friendly staff too.

The inn can provide overnight accommodation for ut to 48 people, and offers guests both hotelrooms, familyrooms and apartments. The rooms are of very high standard with tiled bathrooms, cable-TV, wireless Internet and breakfast is included. Grimstad Vertshus curently offers some of the town`s most affordable accommodation and enjoys a central location in welcoming surroundings. The inn is in walking distance from the city centre.

The location is excellent, the welcoming by the host was super warm, our room is very clean and the atmosphere here is cosy and warm. We were driving from Stavenger to Oslo, but the strand road was very boaring, that is why we just stop driving at Grimstad. And I am very glad for that! This cute little town is so lovely and definatelly worth for staying. This hotel located just beside E39 road. And here is free parking, too. It was very easy to come here. I highly recommend this lovely hotel. Breakfast included.

The building is decorated with items from the silversmith tradition in the Setesdal Valley. The owner himself is a third-generation silversmith. Great location by the river
Reviewed By h_konh180This is second time staying at this place with the family. Nice and clean rooms, free wifi and good service. However, our family room was missing the extra bed. The breakfast was not as good as the last time, maybe due to corona virus. The dinner at the restaurant was a huge disappointment. Ordered the sheep menu and got 3-4 extremely salted thin bacon like slices, with some tasteless vegetables soup. Worst ever.

Reviewed By 784hildefKommer vi til Grimstad igjen er det ingen tvil om at vi skal bo på Holsthuset Losji igjen. Perfekt beliggenhet rett ved gågata og havnen er bare et steinkast unna. Vi bodde på det store røde rommet. Det var rent og innbydende, med behagelig seng og pent bad. Kaffe og te finner man på det lille kjøkkenet i fellesområdet som deles av 3 rom. Perfekt sted hvis man reiser flere sammen. Verten var veldig hyggelig og kom med gode tips om nærområdet.

The bed was super comfortable, and I had a window where lots of light came in to my room, which I love. Not all rooms are turned towards the light, though. But I was lucky. For me, this was perfect. Affordable and clean, and everything you need for one night, no more no less. The standard is cheap, but cleanliness and comfort is most important to me, and for this they scored 10 out of 10. I would book in the same place again if I was going back.

Dette var et av de beste hotellene vi har bodd på (og vi er svært reisevante): 1) Mye skyldes vertinnen Anita, en riktig Mor Godhjerta, som var høyt og lavt for å gjøre det bra for gjestene 2) Et rustikt, og utrolig smakfullt innredet hotell i gammel stil, et riktig museum (men forvent skjeve dører og knirkende gulv) 3) en frokost av de sjeldne, med en personlig touch av (for anledningen) sjefskokk Anita. Hotellet har bare få rom, men vi fikk en hel leilighet med stue, kjøkken, bad og to soverom. Pris: 1200 NOK for to personer, inklusive frokost.

Charming, old and cosy hotel by the riverside in the sentre of Evje. Restaurant open every day between 15:00 - 21:00. Restaurant and terrasse renovated in 2017, rooms are not renovated - and som are low standard.
Fantastic hotel with nice staff and homemade food
Reviewed By Morten HThe hotel is idyllically located by the river Otra in the center of Evje and offers a beautiful terrace facing the river and nice green areas. The guest rooms are simple but nicely decorated in a homely luxurious style. The rooms are equipped with flat screen TV, kettle with a selection of free tea and coffee, and a lovely bed with good mattresses. Desk, minibar and aircondtion are not available. The cleanliness appeared to be very good and the room was in generally good condition. The bathroom was simply decorated and somewhat worn, but appeared clean. There were no free toiletries and there was only soap from the dispenser. The hotel's common areas appeared to be clean and well maintained. The restaurant offered an exciting selection of homemade dishes. The food tasted excellent and was nicely presented, but I missed a bit more focus on using local ingredients and local specialties. The hotel's breakfast was served as a buffet and consisted of a good selection of both hot and cold dishes. However, I missed home-baked bread, something sweet for coffee and a larger selection of local specialties. The employees appeared cheerful and service-minded. They showed interest in the guests' well-being and took the hosting role seriously. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Trivelig sted litt utenfor Risør sentrum
Reviewed By agnordbySuper-trivelig bed & breakfast i et stille område en halvtimes spasertur fra Risør sentrum. Det er også en strand like i nærheten, ca ti minuttet å gå. Lyse og trivelige rom med adgang til felles bad. Dagen startes med en nydelig frokost. Hit kommer jeg gjerne tilbake.
