A relaxing place. Full of French charm. Very nice hotel, comfy and 1-min walk to the center. Special thanks to the team for this beautiful stay. About Arcachon and Le Pyla : what a "coup de coeur"! The sand dune, the lake, the oysters, French wine… unforgettable stay.

What a wonderfull place to stay!! We had the best room with a balcony and a great garden/pool view. The villa is located right at the golf course. We were welcomed with a cocktail. We also had our own small kitchen. The pool is nice and the atmosphere really relaxed. It's near nice places like Arcachon. Beach club pereire at Arcachon is a great to eat fruit de mer.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Ridiculously expensive for what it is. Bathroom looked as if it was taken from a festival port-a-loo. Rooms unbelievably stuffy. Constant smell of deep fat frying. The proximity to beach was the only positive and even then you're on a busy road that doesn't quieten down till the early hours of the morning.

beautiful Bed and Breakfast near the Dune du Pyla and Arcachon beautiful bedrooms with views on the swimming pool
Th B & B is located amongst the grounds of the Golf Club de Gujan-Mestras just outside of the town. The location is very peaceful and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a ground floor room looking out over the swimming pool towards the golf course. We found that the room was very hot and the addition of air conditioning would have added to our comfort. The house is very modern but we prefer the shower and wash basin to be located in a separate room rather than just being in the bedroom. The breakfast is typically French and comprised baguette, croissants, yogurt, orange juice, tea or coffee - a bit underwhelming.

If you look for a silent and relaxing vacation Ferret Vigne is the right place. Everything is highest standard and quality. The service is great and professional, the owners are so friendly and the house and garden are beautiful. We enjoyed it a lot! In one word: perfect!

For the 100th time, I wish Tripadvisor had a rating that was just ``good.'' This hotel is fine, nothing more. My room was modern and clean in that barren Ikea way. It's well located near the harbour. I took a slightly a expensive room on the backside and it was totally silent. The staff was friendly. Breakfast could have been a bit more generous. I needed a place to stop for the night and Hotel de France did the job. I've paid less for simple hotels of this sort, but beware that there are not many choices along this stretch of coast. Arcachon has a few hotels (and even there not so many given what a well known report it is), but there are hardly any along the bay side if you are coming from Bordeaux. I don't know why.

After owners' change and on one year of heavy works and decoration, the hotel opened its doors for the season 2014. Place in the center of Arcachon, in 40 meters of the beach, in a quiet street, our charming hotel of style arcachonnais have elegant rooms with balcony or terrace, privative bathroom and Italian-style shower. We notice immediately the care brought to the choice of the furniture, to the selection of materials. An exceptional place, designed for the well-being and far from the concept of the hotel large sets. A haven of peace thought to favor relaxation and intimacy. The decoration and the atmosphere are unique in every space, contributing to create unforgettable moments.

We picked this place as it was en route from Spain going home and it offered an alternative route to get to Bordeaux airport avoiding the often congested motorway. It was also dog friendly. We have been looking for a good hotel to stay in in this area since our favourite in Gujan Mestras closed down. We are still looking. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area on the Arcachon Basin. It is near to the beach and there are a few other bars / restaurants in the area. The accommodation itself was not great but if it was to be judged solely on that it might have achieved average. An attempt has been made to modernise and decorate the room and bathroom but overall the place just felt dated. It was clean. The shower was small and very odd. It didn't have a door on the cubicle but a curtain that was dark brown which made you feel that you were in a cupboard. It was too small and I kept hitting the temperature control that protruded into the shower space and intermittently getting cold and hot water. The toiletries provided were the cheapest that I have seen and there was no hairdryer. No doubt one would have been available at reception but what good is that when you are standing with wet hair? The WiFi was poor as it kept logging you out and you had to continually log back in which was very annoying. It advertises the large garden which you can sit in and have a beer which was pleasant but the garden doesn't seem to get much looking after and it was just unkempt. There are better value for money places in France. What was the real disappointment was the restaurant both in terms of the food and the service. Having booked a table and arrived on time it was very annoying to watch them take orders from people who arrived after us. I had to ask 4 times before they brought out some butter. My wife had a fish dish that was full of bones. It appeared that they had made no attempt to check it for bones at all. This is just unacceptable in any restaurant. I had a duck dish and while the duck itself was cooked fine no attempt had been made to sear or render down the fat and it was just inedible. I can't recommend this place and we wont be going back.

Having read the reviews of this villa b and b we were expecting rather more than was delivered. We had reserved a room with a terrace/balcony but were given a room in the main building as our room had apparently been given to guests who had arrived earlier than we did (we had arrived at 1530!) The room had a low ceiling with round beams covered in foam tubing to avoid injuries. The window was detached from its hinge and the blind was not attached to the window! Overall the room was dark and uninviting. On the positive side the owner was most welcoming and provided a very good breakfast. The bathroom benefitted from an excellent shower and was satisfactory in all respects however it was situated at the end of a corridor. Gujan Mestras is a rather plain little town with a few ordinary restaurants. As we were staying for one night only we drove the short distance to Arcachon which is an elegant, sophisticated and impressive town with much to offer in the way of shops and places to eat. This b and b was not value for money.
