Had scallops and haggis bonbons starters together. Great choice on the menus and everything looked great. Charlotte & her team are just great with the welcome and service. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu and enjoy outside.

Stayed here for 8 nights on a vacation to Aberdeen and found the service excellent. The room was large and ensuite modern even though it was on the 3rd floor away from the noise of the bar and restaurant . The food was very good with good variety at breakfast and dinner . the room was quiet

Owners Dave and Alison Walker welcome visitors to their family run guest house, offering guests a perfect location for both business and holiday. The family dog, Tarn, greets each guest with a wagging tail and loves attention. Furain serves as an excellent base from which to explore both Royal Deeside and the city of Aberdeen. There is a local bus service just outside the door, offering regular transport to both destinations. We're just a 10 minute drive from the airport, using the Aberdeen bypass. My usual Hotels near by were full and I picked Furain Guest House as an alternative, best decision I’ve made in a long time! Lovely warm family welcome especially from stanley the guest houses new puppy, fantastic large clean double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, lots of clean towels, loads of coffee and biscuits in the room, great breakfast freshly made in the morning, off road parking, fantastic pub/restaurant close by with great food, I will definitely be returning in the coming weeks as there looks to be great walks along the river to explore.

I chose this B&B as it was located within easy reach of our destination for the afternoon/evening. It was easy to find with a great car parking facility. Our host was there to greet us, although I had previously received a code to get in as we had expected to arrive earlier than the booking in time, which was not considered an issue. Our host showed us the facilities for breakfast and generally oriented us to the property. The room had all that we required and everything was provided for a self-service continental breakfast. Our host was genial and chatted away during breakfast. I was there a friend on this occasion but would definitely stay again when in Aberdeen as it is close enough to the centre but without the noise of a central location when you are ready to settle down for the evening.

A granite townhouse hotel with modern rooms seasonal Scottish restaurant, summer garden and live sports bar situated in the fashionable West End of Aberdeen, 5 minutes from the city centre.
Absolutely love the atmosphere and staff at the Great Western. Full of local characters and a friendly, bright pub. However, there’s been a change in the standard of food recently which is a real shame. Little changes, not a deal breaker but vegetables used to be served as a lovely side dish with a variety of 2 or 3 vegetables, always fresh and tasty. Now it’s a couple of old carrots and mushed aubergine on the plate ? really disappointing. Also, the McDonald’s type chips are a no no. PLEASE bring back lovey veg and chunky chips. A gem of a place, don’t spoil it by cheap alternatives.

Now Under New Ownership, Situated off the main drag of Union Street, but still very close to the Music Hall and His Majesty's Theatre, The Globe Inn is a well-loved local staple. We offer a homely hotel with plenty of character and comfort. The restaurant provide a thoroughly Scottish menu with something for everyone. If you fancy something a bit more lively during your stay we have Live Music every Friday & Saturday! The Globe Inn is situated within the centre of town, just off the main high street, Union Street. In the local area, there is His Majesty's Theatre, the Music Hall, and the Lemon Tree performance venue. The AECC arena is within driving distance, and there are buses available from Union Street. Aberdeen city centre is a lively area, with a thriving music scene and festivals held throughout the year. Aberdeenshire plays host to multiple whisky distilleries, including favourites such as Cragganmore and Glenlivet.

Great one night stay at Jewel Guest House. Extremely friendly staff. Good nights sleep. Initially disappointed the no cooked breakfast, however, continental included six fruit options, toast, cereal and croissants. Very impressed with my comfortable stay. In terms of access for those with mobility impairments be aware that there are steps up to the entrance door. Ground floor rooms available. Kitchen/meal area down stairs, but the staff thoughtfully brought breakfast to my room. Inside room wheelchair space access around the room is limited. A shower mat option would provide greater stability if using shower.

Situated in the heart of the city, off the bustling pedestrian Belmont street, Coffee House Hotel is tailored for comfort and convenience, for both leisure or business. So treat yourself to a stay in one of our 7 new and modern rooms, boasting luxury beds for a most relaxing sleep. All the rooms come complete with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, large LED TVs, free and fast WiFi, and tea and coffee making facilities.
This hotel is centrally located being a short walk from the train and bus stations and also minutes away from His Majesty's Theatre, which was important for our stay. It is situated along a small lane off a very busy and social street with lots of pubs along it. Needless to say that makes it busy and loud into the small hours of the night. Our tip is: make sure you close your window to reduce the noise. The room was large and spacious with a firm bed, which we found extremely comfortable. The en suite was clean and some small toiletries supplied. There are also facilities for making tea and coffee, although it would have been nice to have more milk. There is a hair dryer and also a TV. If you need an ironing board and iron there was one in the corridor, which I presume was for all to use. It could be our own fault but we didn't see a bell to ring at the door to the hotel or a sign to say where to get the attention of the staff, so we went to the Coffee Shop itself to say that we had a booking. That didn't seem to be a problem though as we were quickly taken through to the hotel and our keys given to us along with a code to get in the hotel door. We knew that thee were no breakfast facilities per se but you can go to the Coffee House downstairs. However, it opened too late in the morning for us but it would have been nice if there was earlier access, if only for the guests. However, it may be that not everyone wants this facility so it isn't a viable option as the hotel consists of a very few rooms. We would recommend it and would certainly stay there again - this time closing our window!
