Like all of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Thomas has plenty of opportunities to lounge on the beach, splash in the sea, or amp it up with watersports. It also boasts a bountiful duty-free shopping scene – just be prepared to brave the cruise ship crowds. Charlotte Amalie swells with Danish colonial architecture and pirate legend. Shiver ye timbers at Blackbeard’s Castle, then work up an appetite by climbing the historic 99 Steps, constructed from the ballast bricks of 18th century Danish ships.

A favorite of windsurfers, the beach has fine white sand and beautiful views of St. John and offshore cays, and offers excellent snorkeling at the reef to the east, near Pettyklip Point.
With many great beaches to choose from I would say Sapphire and Megans were my favorite in our 7 nights on St Thomas - we stayed at the Sapphire Beach Resort for 4 nights and having this beauty right in front of us was a blessing :) We did try some other beaches but this one packs everything great in one like no other in St Thomas - you have a nice beach bar and a great coffee/breakfast place on the spot, plenty of shade, peaceful water and soft sand, good for sunsets (despite being on the side) and the chickens/iguanas roaming around - it's the real Caribbean deal :) TIP: it's a free beach and appears to be part of the condo/resort area but it welcomes visitors as well so don't be shy, otherwise you will miss out on something great!

This beach has two faces: a quit spot to relax in a lounge chair and sip tropical drinks purchased from the beach bar; or, a sporty beach to snorkel, windsurf, sail and play volleyball. The choice is yours.
Excellent beach located on Marriott's property where the swim club is located and The Reef Hotel where the Infinity Pool is located. There are several restaurants located at that location. The beach is serene, clean beautiful water.

Take the West End to Brewers Bay, a lovely white-sand beach popular with the locals.
I bought the wife a very nice mask and snorkel so she could try it. She did great once she got comfortable breathing. She held my hand and I pulled her along with me. We saw many turtles and I saw a big ray. She also did some searching for sea glass. If you want to find some this is the beach for it. Make sure you buy a beverage from the wonderful older lady in the grey food truck. She is a real sweetie.

This tranquil and uncrowded beach is ideal for windsurfing, snorkeling, sailboarding or for simply watching the sailboats go by.
We stayed here for 6 weeks and hated to leave! The beach is clean, uncrowded, and quiet. The water is crystal clear with a mild surf (unless a storm's on the way). There's good snorkeling off either point of the horseshoe shaped bay--barracuda, squid, rays, conch, fish galore (even once a lion fish), an occasional green turtle, lobsters, urchins, etc. The Lanai restaurant is right at the beach offering food/drinks all day. The Lime Tree pool bar is open to the public as well and serves sandwhiches, snacks and drinks. There's also a small store featuring "essentials" such as snacks, packaged foods, microwave friendly dinners, souvenirs, and of course various types of rum. The Aquamarine Beach Hut can outfit you with snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards, shirts, and other beach items in case you forgot something.

This pretty stretch of beach that runs along a natural cove is highly recommended for watching romantic sunsets and, for the naturalists, spotting iguana.
The Blue Beard use to be on this location but it got damaged in one of the hurricanes. They built the Lime Tree resort in its place which opened a month ago. We stayed in the 1 bedroom unit and it was great. Very spacious with a living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 tvs and 1 bedroom. The hotel rooms face the ocean so there is a distant view of the water. The pool is very large and nice. You can swim in the ocean but it is very rocky and I recommend pool shoes for getting in and out of the water. The restaurant has good food but it is on the pricey side as are the. We stayed during all of the covid restrictions so they did not clean the room. Every morning they had you call and tell them what you needed as far as towels, soap, coffee, etc. They brought tge items pretty quickly. Lastly this is a time sharing unit so most of the guests have that program. We didn't have a timeshare and just booked the room on line and paid their hotel rate. We enjoyed our stay on this very nice, new property and would come back again.

Hailed as one of the world's most beautiful, this breathtaking bay along St. Thomas' rugged north coast is ideal for swimming and snorkeling with all the conveniences of parking, lifeguards, equipment rental, freshwater showers, restaurants and bars.
I was really glad we got to go here. It’s a gorgeous beach and wasn’t too crowded (we went on a Monday). There are picnic park style benches and tables and restrooms on the beach (they don’t interfere with the beauty) and it’s a $5 entrance fee per person. My husband and I agreed that we’d have gone there instead of honeymoon beach if we had to pick just one. We heard about Magens Bay on our last day and were only able to go for a bit thanks to our awesome tour guide/driver Skeno Jean- Baptiste (+13406900148) who took us there at the end of our driving city tour even though it wasn’t part of the route, and waited for us while we took a stroll on the beach. I highly recommend him for all taxi and driving tour needs it you’re in St. Thomas. He was very pleasant and went above and beyond for us every time we were able to use his service.

Beach between Wyndham Sugar Bay Beach Club and the Sapphire Beach Resort
Any time you pay to get into a beach you know it is well kept (or much more so than other public beaches). So is the case with Lindqvist Beach. The $5 entrance fee and $2 parking fee are nothing when you don't have to worry about broken bottles under your feet or trash everywhere. I cam for the snorkeling and was able to see a good amount of fish, a couple turtles and a southern ray. I would say a good day for a beach without a coral reef. The beach was nice, not crowded (thanks to the entry fee) and not loud. Very relaxing. And I am always very grateful for a place to rinse my feet before getting back into my car. Make sure you bring your own snacks and water, and of course your own reef safe sunscreen!

Wife and I were staying at Marriott Frenchman’s Cove and were given a tip to visit Honeymoon Beach on Water Island. A short taxi ride to Crown Bay Marina (right outside of Tickles pub) to pickup the Water Island ferry and a peaceful 15 ferry ride to the beach. Ferry was $10 per person round trip. There was a bus that took us to Dinghys on the beach. Chairs and umbrella were free. Beautiful beach that was not too crowded even though there were two cruise ships were in. Food and drinks at Dinghys were reasonably priced. Not much to see snorkeling but lounging on the beach was great. We will return to this beach on our next visit.
