Sunny Cancun has much more to offer than its party-town reputation might suggest. Plenty of gorgeous, drama-free family resorts cater to folks who want to experience the tropical Yucatan climate. There are significant Mayan ruins here, such as El Rey and the Yamil Lu’um, a crumbling tower of pale gray stone. Learn more about this ancient civilization at the Museo Maya de Cancun. For a literal taste of Mexico, take a tour of the Museo Sensorial del Tequila.

The touristy center of the region, with prestigious hotels, clusters of shopping plazas and the convention center nearby.
We think it is the most beautiful beach in Cancún. The water is nice and the sand is without small stones and seaweed.

Take the ferry from this beach to Isla Mujeres.
This beach is very close to the Torre Escénica, on the northern side of the hotel strip. Almost no waves, great for kids and people afraid of the sea. The beach is clean and you can access it even if you are not staying in any of the hotels around.

If you are tired of the standard beaches along the Hotel Zone, visit Playa Delfines, a beautiful and very large beach with fine sand and slightly intense waves located near El Rey archaeological zone. Here, you can rent chairs and beach umbrellas as well as bring your own drinks and snacks. You will also find bathrooms, showers, "palapas" and parking lot, all these services totally free. Here you will also find a beautiful wooden lookout with the colorful "Cancún" sign that appears on many of the city´s postcards and brochures.

Take a dip in the warm waters of this beach.
White sands. Turtles. Blue water. Relaxing. Manicured. Local access to many great shopping areas. Perfect way to relax.

Lounge on the smooth, white, broad stretch of sand of this beach while gazing at the often rugged surf.
There’s always plenty of beach available to enjoy an entire day there. Plaza Kukulcan makes it a convenient public beach with easy access to a good variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Yes, having to rent chairs and a beach umbrella can be one downside, but waves are perfect there and beach is worth it.

If you like (truly) quiet beaches, head here. Yes, it doesn't open till 10am. Yes, it closes at 5pm or there about. Yes, they have rules about bringing food onto the beach. (You can take water and fruit to the beach and if you want a bigger picnic use the very idyllic and sandy parking lot.) Yes, they protect the nesting turtles. But the result is a beach that has changed very little in the last 20-30 years. The turning to the beach is hard to see as you drive down the dual carriageway ... if you do drive past it be patient, take care and carefully use a couple of U turns to get back to the entrance. Take CASH with you to pay for you and your family. Adults and Children 7 and over have to pay. Local people and Mexican citizens pay different rates. The staff at the gate (once you have driven down the pot holed road!) are very pleasant. If you have young children, they might not realize your child is under 7 but if you politely explain this they will oblige and let them enter for free. You can snorkel on the left hand side of the beach & an outer coral helps keep waves at that end to a minimum. The right hand side of the beach has lots of waves that crash onto the shore. Some people sunbathe there but don't swim at this end. There are rocks, coral & waves! The snorkeling is OK you'll see various types & if you look out about 40 meters you can see some larger coral/reef where you will see bigger fish. You probably won't see turtles because there's no sea grass.

Chilled champagne, innovative dinning, fantastic DJs, exciting entertainment, incredible events all come together to create a scene that is not to be missed. Enjoy like nobody else!!
After being back nearly a week and had plenty of time to digest my thoughts of my holiday I thought I would share. Firstly ignore any bad reviews .... yes the place is under renovation still, but you wouldn't know when your there , you can't hear any noise and yes there are only 2 restaurants running, however , you get a table whenever you want and the food is first class. The hotel does only have a few guests in it currently, but holidays are about the company you keep and not how many people are with you. The staff at the hotel make up for the lack of guests there. The minute you walk in you are made to feel at home , front desk are great and give you a tour of the hotel . The waiters in the restaurants are great and explain anything you don't understand . The bar staff (Jorge ) is a legend makes awesome cocktails. If you wanna hit the cancun night life , make sure you see (JJ )at the front desk he will get you the best tables in all the clubs . It will blow your mind how good the tables are. Finally where this hotel thrives and has something no other hotel has is the beach club . The staff at the beach club are absolutely class!!! As soon as you enter the beach club (Dora, Ian and Valerie ) have got your back, sort you out with perfect sunbeds and make you feel like family , nothing is never to more trouble . El captain (Danny) and his pool waiters are awesome, they have you laughing day long , make you some awesome drinks and will dance around the pool with you . All this guys deserve a massive pay rise. (Pablo) should be very proud of his staff as they made the holiday one I will never forget . Fantastic hotel 5 stars all the way
