Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Top of the Strand, one of Midtown Manhattan's most spectacular urban oasis, is set like a jewel on the 21st floor of Marriott Vacation Club Pulse℠, New York City. A retractable glass roof over the intimate rooftop lounge shows off the New York skyline year round. With its friendly atmosphere, dazzling views, well-made drinks and tasty light fare, Top of the Strand is New York City's favorite rooftop bar.
Not the first time we have visited this rooftop - it is fave with friends who live locally. In case it is not obvious, take the lift in the Strand Hotel to the top floor. Exit at the roof to find a bar to the left and ample seating to the right. Oh and a fabulous, close proximity view of the Chrysler building lit-up and straight ahead (I'm pretty sure it is the Chrysler building, lol)! With a quality wine and spirits list and the very BEST cheddar popcorn you will ever taste, amongst other yummy bar snacks, definitely worth dedicating an evening of drinks here or adding it to your line up if you are around W 37th. Service is highly attentive - Luis and Eric will take good care of you, as they did us :-)

We found this outside of the Empire State Building and the prices looked reasonable. I had a burger as recommended by the waitress and my husband had chicken fajitas. The burger is the best I have had since being in New York and my husband really enjoyed the fajitas. Would definitely recommend
