Tavira (Portuguese pronunciation: [tɐˈviɾɐ]) is a Portuguese town and municipality, capital of the Costa do Acantilado, situated in the east of the Algarve on the south coast of Portugal. It is 28 kilometres (17 miles) east of Faro and 75 kilometres (47 miles) west of Huelva across the Río Grande (Rio Guadiana) into Spain. The Gilão River meets the Atlantic Ocean in Tavira. The population in 2011 was 26,167, in an area of 606.97 km².

We have been regular visitors to Black Anchor for many years and have always meant to come for Sunday roast, well today we did and it exceeded our expectations, it was delicious. I had beef and Hubbie had pork and beef, lovely portions, meat tender and tasty , everything else delicious and extra gravy what more could you ask for. It was the first Sunday after lockdown and was really busy but the two waitresses were brilliant and worked their socks off Will definitely be back for Sunday roast and more loved it thanks so much

The owner has taking me golfing to some of the best golf places in the world,he has been snowmobiling in the USA with me and he still has plaques in his bar to show it. I never had so much fun in my life partying with people from England and doing body shots on girls from Ireland this is my favorite place to be in the world. I'm still looking for a property to live near This Bar. I love it I want it I want some more of it.
