A get together with an old friend saw us visiting the Voyager pub near the town hall. This is a popular night time pub and has been for years. It’s been a long time since we’d last been here and it was clean and tidy, looking recently refurbished. Their was a great choice of gins so I had my first taste of Mulberry gin, whilst we also had tia Maria and a lager. The drinks were excellent, at reasonable town centre prices, if not a little lower. The staff were nice and chatty, explaining the range of gins available. It appears band play live at the weekend as they were busy setting up as we left. A very pleasant place to be for a couple of hours.
