With its gondolas, canals, amazing restaurants, and unforgettable romantic ambiance, Venice is definitely a city for one's bucket list. Waterfront palazzos, palaces, and churches make drifting down the Grand Canal feel like cruising through a painting. To really experience Venice you must go to the opera or to a classical music performance, nibble fresh pasta and pastries, and linger in the exhibit halls of an art gallery. Label lovers will drool over the high-end shopping in Piazza San Marco.

Really lucky to have this bar as part of my hotel (Ala). It was a lovely place for a night-cap or early evening drinks and the guys running it are great. A couple of times I was driven out, on both occasions by very noisy American's. I guess this is an American bar but such a shame when you don't need or want to know what somebody 20 yards away has to say.

This pub is great when you can eventually find it. Was told this was the place to watch premier league games so tracked it down. Google maps wont work around there and its down a little side alley just of the rialto square.

No visit to romantic Venice is complete without sampling a true Bellini, the famous prosecco and peach apéritif, at Harry's Bar at the San Marco.
