Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Immersed in color. Cradled in sound. Built for musical nirvana. We wanted to create the ultimate listening room, which put the focus on the artists and their craft, but also had a relaxed, downtown energy. The result is an intimate, underground space, bathed in evocative light, that conjures up more jewel box than black box - a home-away-from-home for those who love art in all its many facets.
Last year we were invited to attend a performance in this funky, underground space. We had no idea this place existed. We saw an excellent, avant garde performance by two young, super- talented performers. Thomas Nickell, a classically trained internationally acclaimed pianist ( Carnegie Hall, etc) and his partner and fellow composer, a female percussionist by the name of Fiona Stocks-Lyons. She killed it on those drums! (Move over Clyde Stubblefield)! They were doing some original music, and it was great to discover new artists in a professional hall that was also really intimate. I just noticed that these two performers are going to be back at SubCulture on November 13th to perform original ballet music. We're definitely going! These two might be the next White Stripes with a little Glenn Gould and Keith Moon on the side. They're also both really attractive, so that just adds to their unique vibe and style. You should definitely check them and this space out!

Service everywhere was great. There are only great seats here with such a small and intimate venue. We didn’t eat but had drinks to satisfy the minimum and we’re fine with the selection and (high but expectedly so) prices. The performances by Kittel and Co. and Gretchen Parlato Flor we’re both excellent. This is the place to see great art!
