Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Step back in time at this 19th-century tavern located in midtown.
A large group of us spent the day visiting the Intrepid. Different groups of us ended up walking the neighborhood looking for something to eat. We ALL ended up at the Landmark without reservations on a Saturday afternoon. They were very accommodating. The food, the service and the decor of this Landmark Tavern of 150 years old was a great find. The owner was on premise and he was very hospitable. There is something for almost everyone on the menu. It was a great find and we’d definitely return when in the area.

Little cozy pub in Hell's Kitchen in NYC, very close to Times Square. Very busy, but with an extra garden area with more seating and heating. Beer and hot dog for 3 dollars! Suuuuper recommended!

We used the Hibernia Bar and Grill as our stop off bar on the way back to our hotel after busy sightseeing days in New York. The bar does nice pub style food and has plenty of TV’s for those who enjoy sport. The thing that makes this bar so good though is the staff. From the first night to our last night the service we received was friendly and efficient. The staff helped to make us feel at home which was great in a city like New York. Even helped out with where to go to see some English football. The regulars are friendly and more than willing to offer advice on where to go and what to do. Just a great friendly bar.
