Delectable dim sum, floating islands, and a one-of-a-kind skyline are just some of Hong Kong’s unique features. Get an eyeful of traditional Chinese architecture in Ngong Ping village, then take the tram to the tippity-top of Victoria Peak for unparalleled views. The rocks and gentle hills of Nan Lian Garden will bring you inner peace, as will a calming cup of tea in a Stanley café. Become one with everything at the Chi Lin Nunnery, a serene Buddhist complex.

Playing on the European heritage associated with the Tai Kwun complex, Dragonfly creates an ambiance synonymous with the art nouveau styles of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Dragonfly is a comfortable boutique bespoke cocktail lounge and eatery designed by masterful artist Ashely Sutton. Dragonfly presents a cosy ambience of comfort and relaxion in an era of a time gone by.
I love this beautiful art-nouveau styled cocktail bar. If you want a place with wow factor, this is perfect.I’d recommend it even more strongly if you could only guarantee getting in. It’s very small and there is usually a queue. It is cosy and intimate which also means that it can be crowded and noisy but it is so strikingly lovely. The ceiling is a sea of Tiffany styled turquoise lights like dragonfly wings and the bar is a giant human/dragonfly, with wings spreading above the bar counter. Small cast iron dragonflies are dotted around the place, on the tables and bar. It’s a fantastical, sophisticated design created by Ashley Sutton who has done other Hong Kong bars as well ( Iron Fairies and Ophelia). The cocktails are decadent too - Dragon’s Pearls (milk tea, mixed with mandarin, gin, cognac, and tapioca). Most are around HK$120+. It’s probably not the place you will stay for a whole night but it’s perfect for a couple of drinks. We tend to go if we have visitors and our preference now is to go at the start of the night, when we are likely to get a table without waiting. If it is full inside, they may offer tables outside in the covered courtyard (a mix of lounges and high tables and stools). We have sat there before but it doesn't have the same atmosphere or décor and if we can’t get inside, then we tend to go elsewhere now. GETTING THERE: Dragonfly truly is a hidden gem but that also means it can be tricky to find. Persist - it's worth it. The easiest way to get there is from the Mid-Levels escalator. About half-way up (above Hollywood Rd), take the flight of stairs on your left - I've attached a photo. The stairs will lead you into the the old colonial Central Police Station (now the rejuvenated Tai Kwun Heritage Centre). Dragonfly is on ground floor in the old Superintendent’s House.

A private members club that also serves as a meeting place for the city's media, business and diplomatic community.
Holding a guest membership we had a few nights out there, Bert's bar is lovely, bar area noisy as you would expect and the setvices are vety good, with friendly folks working there and dealing w heavy drinkers from Europe, Usa and so on. While my club would fesk out when you show up in sandals and shorts, the Bar area is quite a place of great varietal dressings

Iron Fairies promises a bewitching night of live jazz and blues, innovative comfort food and exceptional mixology, amidst other worldly interiors that captivate and invigorate imaginations. This is a place for hearty dishes like burgers and pork knuckles, matched with boutique beers or crafted cocktails, are bound to please your palate.
We dropped by for a quick bite to eat on a Tuesday evening - although we were expecting it to be relatively quiet being a Tuesday night, we reserved a table in advance just in case. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted at the door by a hostess, escorted to one of the several private enclaves, and subsequently personally welcomed by the Manager. The venue itself is quite extraordinary....quite mesmerizing to look over the room and the attention to detail.....lots of wood, iron, smelting tools, 'ovens' (private dining enclaves), and thousands of imitation butterflies adorn the ceiling....not to mention the hundreds of little iron fairies as the centerpiece of each table. They're available for sale for HKD 200 each should anyone wish to take one home as a souvenir). We only had time for couple of drinks and a light meal, but the F&B was excellent, and we look forward to sampling some of the cocktails on our next visit. A very 'Instagramworthy' experience!

I couldn’t wait to find the best friend to share my happiness today . I found a Chill bar “Arkadia” on the Internet. Here's a good for get a bottom of the cup with friend or smokes shisha. The outdoor is relaxing and the best places for happy hour. Signature Cocktail Must order "Princess Peach" looks very beautiful, using Vodka, Fresh Watermelon Puree, Lime Juice & Sugary Syrupy mixed, very strong watermelon flavor , so v refreshing, good for summer. "Star Power-up" cute star shape, plus pineapple slices dry embellishment, best to share a picture in Instagram. The drink is composed of Rum, Malibu, Fresh Strawberry, Mango Puree and Pineapple juice. Taste is so sweetness. Overall the bar environment is very comfortable and the price is reasonable, Happy Friday has good choice.
