Wilmington is a vibrant riverfront city and the most accessible coastal area in the state. The pedestrian-friendly Riverwalk winds along the Cape Fear River, connecting many of the city’s shops, cafés, and nightlife with waterfront hotels, parks and the Port City Marina. Annual festivals, such as Riverfest, Wilmington Beer Week and the world-famous North Carolina Azalea Festival, attract crowds year-round. Three nearby island beaches offer even more dining, attractions and water sports.

I love the Art Works! I had friends who have studios there but you are always made to feel welcome by the owner and other artists. There are artists in all different mediums. The building is set up like New Orleans and every studio has a different design. You have to go.

Art Gallery featuring the photo-art of Mike Bryand and showcasing the work of over 40 emerging and established North Carolina Artist & Craftsmen.
My wife, daughter and I recently ate on the Riverwalk in Historic Downtown Wilmington and decided to do a little shopping, touring, and strolling after lunch. The Bryand Gallery is located in the Old Wilmington City Market just opposite the Riverwalk area. The Bryand Gallery is packed with beautiful artwork, photos on canvas, wood sculptures, and more. There are a lot of choices when it came to styles and designs of their offerings. Many items were of a nautical theme which makes sense when in Wilmington. The owner was there and she was very personable and a pleasure to speak with. if you are in Historic Downtown Wilmington, stop in the City Market and the Bryand Gallery. You will be pleasantly surprised.

This is a studio for artists - 20 - and many of the artists have been in this studio space for 20+ years. The artists work in a variety of mediums - acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints, metal sculpture, collage, handmade paper, photography, and clay - whatever sparks their imaginations. Ring the doorbell to have a look around or come on Fourth Fridays when the Studios are open to the public.
