This creates a new 'edge' to Lovelys, working alongside our continuing commitment to showcasing traditional and contemporary art.Edge will offer a continually changing collection of diverse artwork from Thanet and East Kent based professional artists who are on the periphery of national and international recognition. This delightful shop has been situated in Cliftonville for many years and is still family owner by Caroline who is extremely knowledgable and helpful. Great place to buy a gift or have a look at some serious art also has all the art supplies and prints you would need . Highly recommended

The Little art Gallery is exactly that, little, but we pack a lot in a small space. Come and see over 300 original paintings, prints and handmade crafts by local artists. We pride ourselves on being affordable, so you may be surprised just how little an original piece of art work will cost here. We can be commissioned to paint anything from your pet to your favourite scene. We hold various art lessons in Broadtairs and art weekends at the Yarrow hotel Broadstairs and The Flackley Ash Hotel Rye East Sussex, we also have a trip to Italy planned where you can learn to paint in beautiful surroundings Please see our website for more details Come and see us when you visit beautiful Broadstairs. We are open every day throughout the summer and always weekends all through the year.
We had watched a programme called "Home is were the art is" and decided that we would look around galleries rather than buying a print from a shop. We were staying near Broadstairs and noted that there were a number in Broadstairs to look around so headed for the town. We soon came across this tiny gallery. I was keen to go in as the paintings on display looked like the type of art we liked. We went inside but decided that there wasn't anything that we thought would fit into the new colour scheme of our lounge. Vicki over heard us chat and said that she was capable of painting anything in any colour! Well between Vicki and us we came up with the idea and after showing her a rug we had considered buying, she became very excited and could see exactly what she wanted to paint. We chatted about her ideas, paid a deposit and left. Scary moment, we were only taking this risk after watching the tv programme and feeling brave. Well I'm so glad we trusted her. When my husband hung the paintings I cried with happy emotion. The paintings had captured all the colours we wanted plus every happy memory of our time on a beach. Please go and see for yourself, don't take my word for it and I assure you, you will be very glad you did. I just wanted to add this, I've been told that Vicki has been contacted by Home is where the art is, if chosen she will be perfect I'm sure.

We chanced on the studio a few years ago, and visit whenever we are passing that way. Interesting to see how the Artist's work has developed over the years. She is a warm friendly person - quite a character. Some interesting merchandise available at reasonable prices.

A romantic house and gallery set in beautiful riverside gardens, managed by the National Trust. Ancient trees, bubbling brooks and rolling lawns frame this lovely old house. Crafted from a medieval priory, it is full of surprises, with art that intrigues and delights. Come back throughout the year to see different exhibitions in the gallery. Carpets of spring bulbs, a stunning walled rose garden, rich autumn leaves and a colourful winter garden make Mottisfont a feast for the senses all year round. There's space to run, jump and play, and always something for families to do. Free entry for National Trust members, Art Fund members and under 5s.
Visited on the hottest of day's but what an absolute pleasure to return after visiting last July to find that the walled gardens have been completely rejuvenated, excellent job! beautiful walk along the chalk streams, clear Hampshire water, dutiful Trout, little bridges, weeping willow, this is England at its best. Grand house although on this occasion it was just too hot to entertain, but another amazing visit. NT property, plenty of parking on a very busy afternoon, very good facilities and a very welcome ice-cream. Friendly welcome as always.

Pallant House Gallery is one of Britain's most distinctive modern art museums, located in the heart of historic Chichester. It tells the story of British art from 1900 to now through original exhibitions and a world-class collection. In 20 galleries, housed in a Queen Anne townhouse with a striking contemporary wing, discover artworks by many of the greats of British modern art including Lucian Freud, Barbara Hepworth, John Piper, Peter Blake and contemporary artists Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst.
Chichester is indeed fortunate to have the Pallant House Galley which is home to one of the best collections of 20th century British art, housed in the early 18th century Pallant House in Chichester was extended with a new modern extension in 2006. You can tell how much I value visiting the Gallery by the fact that I drove for an hour and a half from London to see both the works on show from the permanent collection and also the current special exhibitions. Among the different special exhibitions across the Gallery, the 'stand-out' exhibition has to be 'Barnett Freedman: Designs for Modern Britain', exploring the work of Barnett Freedman who moved from painting to become one of the most sought-after British commercial designers in the mid-20th century. He is relatively unknown, but his work was seen by many people at the time on posters, in books and in art. He was an amazing artist of his age. The Gallery also has an excellent bookshop and a cafe which appeared to be very popular for morning coffee and for lunch, for which bookings were advised, and where seating spills out into the courtyard that joins the historic building and the new extension together. The only downside for me, which is nothing to do with the Gallery, was the city car park nearby. Paying for parking was slow and tedious and I had to give up at one point and start again.
