Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium is a centre for contemporary art in the old Vestfos Cellulosefabrik (1886–1970). Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium was established by artist Morten Viskum and opened its doors to the public in 2003. Today the institution is run as a foundation with financial support from Øvre Eiker Municipality, Buskerud County Council and the Ministry of Culture. At present we have an annual summer programme from May to September. In the near future, however, we hope to expand our activity and have exhibitions all year round. During the years artists like Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauchenberg, Donald Judd, Anaslem Kiefer, Claus Oldenburg, Cindy Sherman and Andress Serrano have shown their work at Vestfossen Kunstlabratorium.

One of the most characteristic buildings along the river Storelva in Ringerike is the former depot of the military camp Helgelandsmoen. It is the army camp's oldest and paradoxically also the tallest one. But the building represents a much richer history than its 136 years' service as a depot. The six floor tall building was initially put up next to the Norderhov church in 1820 as «Ringerikes local storage». It was a grain storage for all the rural areas in the Ringerike region. In addition, some of its rooms were used as custody rooms in the years 1830-1840. The building was sold on an auction in 1868. The military bought it, pulled it down and put it up where it stands today. It is now entirely protected. In the near future it will become an open art gallery and be part of the Galleri Klevjer. Therefore, Helgelandsmoen is no longer an army camp. Now you find several different activities, and many artists have their ateliers here. A dock has also been built at Helgelandsmoen allowing boats travelling on the river to dock here.

Shoddyhuset is idyllically situated in Vestfossen in connection with the Fredfoss Kulturpark. The word comes from the Englishword shoddy, meaning old rags. The house was used to collect old textiles, and convert them to blankets. The first floor is used by Haugiani glass since 2000, operated by Magnus and Maria Hesslid. In the second and third floor is Galleri Mollabekken, which is operated by Ingjerd and William Holmes. Since its opening, the gallery has had a number of exhibitions of high quality, which has been very well received.
Art exhibition with artists from the region as well as famous international artists.
