Hang Kenh Communal House is a must-see landmark in Hai Phong and is located in Hang Kenh Ward, Le Chan District not far from Du Hang Pagoda. The wood sculpturing structure was built in 1717 as a communal house of the then Kenh Village and is used as a temple. It’s famous for its remarkable woodwork. The architecture is recognised as the National Architectural Artwork relic by MCST.

PALACE I: FAMOUS HISTORICAL ATTRACTION IN DA LAT Not far from the center of Da Lat to the east-south, the Emperor Bao Dai’s Palace one stands on a charming hill at the height of 1.550 metters and 60 hectares, surrounded by lush pine forest. The Palace is famous by the real European neoclassical architecture, and also the main owner Emperor Bao Dai-the last King of Vietnam Feudal Dynasty.
The entry fee is little bit expensive but it’s worthy. This palace is the most beautiful palace comparing with Palace 2 and Palace 3 with many flowers and nice decorations

This post office also houses a useful office center with phones and fax lines.
Great to see this working post office (the French Colonial architecture) as a piece of living history where people buy stamps, mail packages, etc. Got to meet and have a wonderful chat with an 88 retired employee who still comes to volunteer and offer stories of the past, another piece of living history. (He used to help service men translate love letters!)

“From Norodom Palace to Independence Palace 1868-1966” explores the century-long history of the building that once served as the seat of the French colonial government in Cochinchina. In 1954, this building was renamed Independence Palace. It subsequently witnessed many dramatic episodes in the rise and decline of the government of Ngo Dinh Diem, the founding leader of the Republic of Vietnam
This is a must see attraction and historic sight!! We loved taking an audio tour of this perfectly preserved government palace .... reflecting the beauty and grooviness of the 1960’s architecture and furnishings from the period. We learned a great deal about Vietnam and specifically South Vietnam history, which was communicated in a very interesting and accessible way and provided a context / understanding for our entire Vietnam tour.

Possibly Hue’s most recognizable landmark, this pagoda contains numerous living and working buildings for its resident monks, a bell tower and a seven-tiered monument in front.
If you are wanting to visit a pagoda, this is a must. Iconic 7 tier pagoda plus grounds, other buildings and working monastery so you should get to see some monks around ranging from the fully fledged in sunshine colours the the student boys in blue, some appearing as young as 6 or 7 years old. We were privileged enough to be there at 11am when they he monks convened for ceremonial lunch and watched the full prayer ceremony culminating in them eating together. A fascinating insight into Buddhist life. This monastery is the origin of the Buddhist monk who set himself alight in Hanoi in the 60’s. You can view his Austin motor car and photographs of the event which attracted the Pulitzer Prize for reporting by the Wetsern NYT journalist who was present. Not to be missed, in my opinion.

Though still called Hotel de Ville locally, this is no longer a hotel. This landmark building is actually The People's Committee, a government building with no public access.
