Yes, the museum is basic, staff don’t speak English an it’s dusty but, there are some great artifacts here that would normally be in a wealthy museum ie from the Roman Period. Quite rare and amazing including the only bust of Consul Marcus Petronius Sura Mamertinus in existence. He was the son in law of Emperor Marcus Aurelius.

A beautiful, beautiful building, once the glory of the city, completely abandoned by the city officials due to corruption. Hopefully it will survive.
