This tiny building is a miraculous survival, a medieval well chapel. It is built above an ancient and venerated spring that feeds three linked pools, and that is still flowing today. St Winifred's Well can be booked for short breaks with the Landmark Trust, a charity that restores historic buildings at risk and makes them available for holidays.

St Leonard's Church

For a mere Parish Church towering is the word I would use. It stands at top a hill, proudly, and has a wonderful history which is explained on the boards and the leaflet they give you.

St Eata's

Reviewed By Uncle_Pulesden - Hong Kong, China

This is a fascinating, tiny, 12th Century (in parts) church, with a beautiful setting by the River Seven and the stone Atcham Bridge. If I may quote the well-drafted guide (by the north door), "Pick 'em and patch 'em say the six bells of Atcham" - Bells have been rung here since the 16th Century. Worth a look, as are so many details in this lovely place.

Bromfield Priory Gatehouse

This medieval timber-framed gatehouse was enlarged with an upper storey after the Dissolution to create a room which has served as both manorial court and village school. Life is lived beneath the splendid timber roof trusses. Bromfield Priory Gatehouse can be booked for short breaks with the Landmark Trust, a charity that restores historic buildings at risk and makes them available for holidays.
