If you're in the area Dornes is a mandatory stop. The Templar tower (now home to a church bell!) overlooks the river and surrounding area, allowing for magnificient views.

This is a very quiet camp site overlooking the river. We were the only people staying there. The facilities are first class. It was also very cheap. I would highly recommend this place.

The old town is set up in a type of grid system with Camara Municipal serving as the center. The town radiates out from here. The Mannerist style Town Hall, the church of John the Baptist and the statue of the Templar knight are all located here in this square. Worth the trip to see it.
