Nice building that provides an excellent back drop to the medieval square that holds the Christmas market.

Harku Manor which used to belong to the Livonian Order was first mentioned in 1372. Today we can see it in Neo-Renaissance style, built in 1875. The outbuildings worth seeing include a livestock complex with historicist gables and picturesque ruins of a greenhouse provided with two towers and resembling a mediaeval stronghold. In addition to the main building, today you can also see a stable-coach house and a granary bordering the long front square of the main building.Interesting to know:- In 1710 the famous capitulation agreement was signed in Harku Manor, after which the Great Northern War ended on the spot.

The Office of the President of the Republic of Estonia is near the Toompea Castle as well as the Parliament building of Estonia. My photo shows only the Parliament building.

Linnahall or cityhall is in my opinion must see in Tallin. This building, opulent concrete structure is living evidence of soviet megalomania and fascinating piece of brutalist architecture. Yes is in very bad condition, old and destroyed but just try to imagine what cost would it take to reconstruct and what would be purpose of building? that is not very sustainbale. Anyway would be great to ahve a chance to see huge hall inside the building with sea views as described in architecutre guide. Go and see, it is different and really worth to visit

The main building of Paldiski railway station, in crown historicist style, was constructed in 1870 to standard 3rd class Baltic railway designs. Although certain of the original decorative elements adorning its overhangs and roof were lost in the 20th century, it remains the best preserved station building of its kind in Estonia in terms of its initial design.Did you know...?*By the building is a memorial to the app. three thousand islanders from Saaremaa and Hiiumaa who were deported to Siberia by the Soviet regime in 1941 and 1949*The building houses the Vana Vedur cafe
