I'm not sure if there were better things to see, but the ride around the city was fun. Seemed like we hit the hot spots, other than the Plaza de Armas. Not extremely impressed, but it was a good way to drive around and see the city. The stops were pretty good.

We really wanted to enjoy the Islands so took our time to shop around looking for a tour with no luck. All of the agencies in Copacabana just sell tickets for boats and buses to get away. We have to say that it was hard to find Stroll On tours office as they are really away from the agencies area. Finally when we found the office it was closed. We found out later that they only receive bookings online two days before, so we booked the 2 day 1 night tour to Moon and Sun Island online. It started with a 30 minutes mini bus drive along a dirt road that saves 1 hour of boat trip, it continues on a small boat to Moon Island where we asked to spend the night. We strongly recommend to sleep on Moon Island even when the Hotel is pretty basic because the Island is beautiful and very quite. Our guide was an expert in history and we had a good time with him. The attractions were with not a single tourist when we arrived at each one of them so we could enjoy them properly. Great tour highly recommended.

Tiwanaku is a pre-Incan city in Bolivia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and has been since year 2000. Tiwanaku is viewed by most archaeologists as being one of the key sites leading up to the Incan Empire, and remains a beautiful site for modern visitors. The artistic style of Tiwanaku is also quite unique, with fascinating figurative pieces that feature exaggerated heads. At the Beginning of the tour visit the Ceramic and Lithic museums, travelers can visit the ancient and enigmatic archaeological ruins such as: Gate of the Sun, Kalasasaya Temple, The Semi-Subterranean Temple with nailed heads, Monoliths, the megalithic and mysterious ancient ruins of Puma Punku and other religious enclosures. 08:00 a.m. Hotel pick up. 09:30 a.m. Tour Start in Tiwanaku, ruins and museums. 02:00 p.m. Lunch. 03:00 p.m. Return to the city. 04:30 p.m. Drop-off at hotel.

We booked a tour to the Valley of The Moon and Mt Chacaltaya out of LaPaz. We were there in November, 2019 during the post election protests. We met our guide, Patti, at a rendezvous point near the Prada. The pick up was about 30 minutes late. The part of the tour to the Valley of the Moon was canceled due to protestors blocking the road. We received no refund. We did drive to Mt Chacaltaya and scrambled to the top. Although the walk is not steep and the path pretty good, be prepared for a tough climb given the altitude of about 17,000 feet. You will need to take numerous stops and the climb will take longer than you expect. The views of the surrounding Andes Mountains was spectacular. Well worth the effort. Overall the trip was fine, but make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. Also, we were somewhat disappointed by the reluctance of our guide to stop and allow us to take pictures at various places on the trip. If you choose to take this trip, be sure to inquire carefully about the logistics.

Two weeks before my trip to Lapaz I booked a tour to Death Road without bike. The price was much higher than other similar tours, but so I hoped to see more than inother similar tours. When I booked through Viator, it appeared that the price may vary if I book for less than two people. But when I booked, the price remained the same. No one contacted me to let them know that the price was not available. On the contrary, a few days before the scheduled tour I received an email saying that the tour was paid by my credit card and fully confirmed. However, in the evening before the tour, I received a message on my phone from Vallandes Bolivia saying that the tour operator wants to get an extra charge from me due to the fact that I had only booked for one person. I replied that I was not going to pay nearly double for an already overpriced tour. That ended the communication. However, when I applied for a refund through Viator, I only got back half of the money for a completely failed service. There is no other way to call it - fraud.

What a extraordinary value for money experience. Leaving Cusco early morning , stopping at five sites on the way to Puno. Lunch is included and was delicious. Arrived in Puno at 5.30pm. Included an English speaking tour guide and the bus had large comfortable reclining seats. This bus trip is quicker and cheaper than the train!

Tiwanaku is Bolivia's National Treasure. This site is located 2-hour from La Paz city in the high plateau of the Andes. On this tour you'll visit 15.000 year old structures and the most importantly culture almost lost for the world. Pumapunku Stone complex is also included on this tour.
Inclusions: Local taxes, Lunch, Local guide, Pick up (Select Hotels only)
Exclusions: Drinks, Gratuities
It was a bit confusing with my booking due to the miscommunication between the operator posting this tour and the operator actually providing the tour (they were different!). But I managed to sort it out by messaging and a phone call. Despite the drama in the beginning, it was fun! They provide you with everything you need and teach you how to "climb" the ice. For a person spending the most time at sea level and not used to rock climbing, this was very challenging for me. But I had a blast! I will come back to have more! Ice climbing is at 4900 meters above the sea level, so take it easy to avoid altitude sickness.
