Transylvania is a historical region in today's central Romania. Bound on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended westward to the Apuseni Mountains. The term sometimes encompasses not only Transylvania proper, but also the historical regions of Crișana and Maramureș, and occasionally the Romanian part of Banat.

History lessons and great views from the top of the hill! A short 10-15 min hike, not crowded, I highly recommend it.

This is a place you need to see. The capital of Dacia, it was an important spiritual center. Here you can even see the first paved road, many temple ruins and sacrificial tables.

A very nice place where you can learn things about Romans in this area. Is a quite large site, accessible by foot and some areas by car. I recommend wearing tracking shoes. You'll love taking a walk and taking pictures around because is such a picturesque place. You'll love it!

This place is like a fairytale. It is perfectly located in the top of the hill and has amazing views of the villages nearby. We loved to walk around, enjoying the site and the breathtaking views. The entry fee was 15 RON/person and you can pay either cash or with a card. The lady from the entrance was extremely polite and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you stay in Brasov or you travel to Sighisoara or Viscri. It is an 1 hour ride from Brasov
