Provence in southeastern France is divided into six departments and stretches from Orange to Nice. Many consider the Luberon in Vaucluse to be the "real Provence." Gently sloping vineyards and lavender fields are the backdrops that enthralled Cezanne, Van Gogh and Chagall. An excellent train network makes travel between cities easy. To explore villages, drive or catch a bus. Particular highlights include Palace of the Popes at Avignon, the Roman amphitheatre at Arles and the craft center of Les Baux.

In the hills above Cannes, the Valbonne plateau reveals a preserved Provence, whose landscape is covered with olive groves and pine forests. The recently renovated Village offers soft coloured rooms in Provencal-style accommodation dotted around small streets and shaded squares. Opio en Provence is both family and sports-minded, with its 9-hole golf course, 3 swimming pools and tennis courts. It also places emphasis on the quest for tranquillity which can be found in the relaxing Club Med Spa.
Overall, a fantastic holiday. Pros - Countless activities for all of us aged 5-70. Great heated pools & food is some of the best buffet food we've had. Lovely setting for restaurant terrace overlooking pool and view. Loved having interconnecting rooms with kids. Plenty of staff. Zen pool was heavenly. Circus area & school is amazing for all ages (4+). Live music and cocktails in the evenings was great. Cons - rooms very small & a bit scruffy (fine for us, though), the huge corporate group that virtually took over the hotel for a few days really spoilt some mealtimes and pool time as they were an enormous group, meaning very noisy in restaurant & pool & difficult to get sun loungers & and queues for buffet food. The entryway to the main pool had foot pools to go through which really needed a clean. Impression given that more than one restaurant but really only one (with two different seating areas) so would have been nice to have some variety. Admittedly could go to Golf restaurant for lunch though (although not as suited to kids as not much choice). Shop very overpriced (bring your own pool inflatables)! Sometimes a bit of confusion about where to pick kids up from kids club as ours only wanted to go for a couple of hours a day - I think it should be made a bit of easier to dip in and out of.

The resort of Serre-Chevalier is home to the Village, designed as a large hamlet of about fifteen chalets. Its typical rooftops and facades in wood and stone, is in total harmony with the decor. Inside, the spaciousness and warm decoration of the lounges in the style of family rooms create a holiday location. Everyone can thoroughly devote themselves to their favourite activities, whether in the Snow Garden, on the slopes of the ski domain, in the indoor swimming pool or in the Club Med Spa*.
The overall ClubMed experience was both fun and relaxing if a little idiocyncratic to those used to more independent travel but we got used to it and eventually thoroughly enjoyed the "show" at the end of the week. The integrated and all inclusive service was just as promised and virtually faultless - removing much of the hassle associated with ski trips (passes, hire shop etc). The staff were friendly and helpful and although the hotel is not new but it is comparable or better to much of the ski accommodation on offer elsewhere. The food and drink served are perfectly adequate (even occasionally superb) and of a surprising variety given the scale of the overall operation (feeding 700 three times a day). Unfortunately one of the adults in our party contracted a serious stomach bug on the last day, which given the "family friendly" buffet did feel slightly inevitable but really spoiled an otherwise delightful holiday. As repeating that illness is not a risk we would accept again this was disappointedly likely to be our only ClubMed holiday but still hope to return to Serre Chevilier again.

we had a very good overnight stay in this hotel. The room was spacious, clean & had a lovely view over the lake to the sea from the balcony. The price was very reasonable too. Dinner was good & plentiful & again reasonably priced

Offering an on-site restaurant, the hotel is situated in the seaside village of Grimaud, just a few kilometres away from Saint-Tropez, at the foot of the Maures Mountains. Hotel Soleil de Saint-Tropez is set in a 16,000 m2 park and features access to the beach which is just 300 m from the hotel. Guest rooms are comfortable and spacious. They are all equipped with modern en suite facilities and most of them offer a view of the swimming pool and park. A buffet breakfast is served every day. Take advantage of the hotel’s facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool and a free private car park.
Terrible experience! There is clearly a lack of management ! To be avoided. The hotel does not deserve 4 stars and is dirty. Seems to be managed by the owner of a pizzeria rather than the director of a 4 star hotel. I will tried to contact Sowell directly.

Located 4 km from Arles, the Village Camarguais covers 35 hectares. It offers many amenities and services for the whole family, including a private pool area with 3 pools (a paddling pool, a children's pool and a pool for adults) and a pool area at the Forum with 3 pools (one paddling pool, children's pool and adult's pool), indoor and outdoor tennis courts, multi-sports ground, mini-golf, 6-hole golf course, equestrian center ... and in July / August, adult animation, as well as for Teenagers 14/17 years old and children 4/13 years old.
If you read that this 'Club' has facilities forget it, few are open, and the one's that are should be closed down, serious health risk. The pool is the worst I have ever seen in my life, I dread to think what diseases you can catch from it.The tennis courts with a TV dumped in the middle of the courts, any point saying any more? Save your money and go elsewhere

This hotel is located in the Isola 2000 ski resort in the southern French Alps and was fully renovated in 2014. It offers ski-to-door access, a restaurant and an indoor swimming pool. Rooms at Hotel Club du Soleil Le Pas du Loup are equipped with a telephone, flat-screen satellite TV and private bathroom. The rooms are accessible by lift. Additional facilities and services include bicycle rental and ski storage. Ski rental shops are located nearby and ski lessons can be taken locally. Hotel Club du Soleil Le Pas du Loup serves a buffet breakfast each morning. Guests can enjoy a buffet service in the restaurant or on the terrace.
Hotel is very basic, with very dark rooms, most staff were very friendly, especially reception who were most helpful. Some of the restaurant staff not so. Bar and restaurant very lacking in atmosphere. Good for ski in/out. Cleanliness - ok.

this hotel is OK for a ski holiday. The rooms are very small, but for ski purpose OK ( you do not stay in the room ). You cannot ski from of to the hotel, as there is no ski connection between hotel and ski area. However the small hotel busses drive around a lot, and waiting time for a bus is short. ( 5 minutes of less ) The driving distance from hotel to ski area is also short. The hotel has a bar, with affordable drinks. The food in the hotel was OK. During souper we had free wine ( red of white ) / no free beer. It is free to park your car, but the parking area is not close. Limited wifi. Lots of space for you skis in the basement, however not heated, so the schoes are cold in the morning

Old and shabby. Looks like a prison and the food as bad. 0 vegetarian food and the other offerings not good at all. Not worth the price at all. The skiing is good but the lifts are as rundown as the Village club hotel. Bar has no atmosphere and dont take the all inclusive drinks package. Wont be going back unless they cut the price in half.....and even then...,
