The Midland is a beautiful Lancashire hotel that curves gracefully along the North West coast of Morecambe Bay. The Midland is an hotel with history and internationally renowned art deco building. Restored for the 21st century to become renowned as a modern day masterpiece and iconic architectural edifice that showcases the elegance of classic Art Deco design. Designed by Oliver Hill with interior decoration by Eric Gill, the hotel has a rich heritage.
A beautiful British Art Deco hotel and restaurant. Lovely food served hot and of high quality. We sat out in the glass area overlooking the sea . It was very bright and hot but better once the sun went down . The service was pleasant and up to price standards. The atmosphere was complete with the 1950’s music playing in the background. Toilets were clean but cheap looking compared to the rest of the dining area . Well worth a visit

Venture out to discover unspoilt beaches on the Fylde Coast and Cumbria’s picturesque lakes and mountains. This stunning Victorian Blackpool hotel boasts 180 modern bedrooms, 9 of which are stunning suites with sea views, it also has an indoor pool and the No.10 bar, which has served drinks to many British Prime Ministers.
My wife and I were in Blackpool for a show and chose to stay at the Imperial. The location is superb as it right on the seafront. Check in was welcoming, quick and efficient. We had a couple of issues with the room allocated and the Duty Manager (Jordan) dealt with the situation immediately and professionally so a big thank you to him. Breakfast was extremely enjoyable with a good selection of food. Very helpful staff and not rushed. A big thank you to all the staff! Every employee I encountered always had a smile on their face and went out of their way to help. I understand that the hotel is going through a refurbishment and I know it takes time. In all honesty I wouldn't have known if I hadn't been told. A big thank you to all and yes I would recommend the Imperial.

Booked this hotel for a special birthday treat for my lad as we was going to watch Mrs Browns Boys D’Live Show at Blackpool Winter Gardens. Drove past this hotel many a time and for years. Sea fronting hotel that looks nice on the outside and images of the hotel seemed nice from several booking sites. Where do we start…. We arrived at approx. 14:20pm to be shown a room that was sub-standard and not as per the websites photos. Dated decor with very worn laminate flooring and a fantastic view of the rear service yard (not very picturesque). Stained/rusted ceiling to the en-suite shower room, and a mattress that had more bounce than the bouncy castles on the Central Pier! After my partner requested a room change, the experience started to get worse! A room that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned with dusty dressing tables, cobwebs, stained carpets and rusty sanitary fittings you would be susceptible to catching tetanus if you touched the plug chain or shower shelf! Again another fantastic view… this time of a brick wall and decor that was dated and befitting of an old peoples home. This time I went down to speak with the Duty Manager to request a room change. Unfortunately the Duty Manager was “busy” and got shown a room that was cleaner, however smelt like an cigarette ashtray - maybe due to the bedroom being situated directly over the smoking shelter outside. After over an hour and a half of trying to get a room that was of an acceptable standard to sleep in we got to the point of requesting a full refund to source an alternative hotel to stay the night - we even contemplated at sleeping in the car at this point! The hotel reception staff said they would provide a full refund which would take 2-5 working days to refund, however I would need to contact the travel company I had booked through. This was a nightmare in itself to try and speak with a human rather than a virtual robot. After coming to no avail with trying to contact the travel agency, we was able to speak with the Duty Manager to see what he could do (if anything). Half an hour later we was shown to a room that was of an acceptable standard, that smelt/looked clean and didn’t have any rusty fixtures/fittings. Why did this take over two hours and 45 minutes to check into a hotel to a suitable standard level of hotel hospitality? The hotel is like an obstacle course and maze of corridors and steps, not the best for mobility impaired guests. Lifts are available, however Wayfinding is difficult to navigate around, and we got lost on multiple occasions. Better directional signs would help for the exit/reception. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to experience the restaurant, drinks or entertainment offer as we was on the minutes to get to watch our show; however a selection of evening entertainment is available in both the two lounges. Breakfast was served between 08:15am-09:15am. Not the best. The waitress staff looked like they had just woke up, with creased uniforms and looked like they needed a coffee more than me! The supervisor however was on the ball. There was a poor selection of cereals - bran flakes, special k, cornflakes, porridge; with a substandard English breakfast (bacon, sausage, egg, tomato, baked beans). Toast was available with a choice of strawberry jam, marmalade or honey. Fresh waffles was also available. The food was of poor quality. The 2.45hr checkin experience tainted the whole birthday staycation. This will certainly be a birthday to remember!

A wonderful weekend our party of 4 had, went to see beauty and the beast at the theatre was such an amazing performance, went around the city into different shops, had a brilliant Indian and came back to the hotel to celebrate the 50th birthday. The true real slim shady Shaz was absolutely amazing so caring, polite and thoughtful but not only that he also handed us all a complimentary drink for celebration. We went to the room to settle in, only to find some lovely bubbles awaiting in the room for us, we honestly can not thank you for the lovely experience it was above and beyond. Today is coronation street tour and the staff here are truly amazing and will hold your bags in the luggage room. Thank you. - really recommend this hotel!

After a long wait to finally socialise after COVID, this certainly did not disappoint. A beautiful venue with even better staff. I was especially impressed with Staff, Kieran and Flynn who led the night with great responsibility and knowledge. Their handsomeness and politeness made the night very enjoyable. I will defiantly be returning!!

Having gone to other de vere hotels and been so impressed with the atmosphere, elegance and good food, I had high hopes for this place. So I was really disappointed when we got there and the rooms were basically like a premier inn, the bar was deserted and tired but with extremely high prices (£10 for a pint of beer and peppermint tea). We had to ask to be moved twice due to really loud noise in the twin bedrooms bathroom which didn’t stop at any point and could be heard in the bedroom. I have to say the service was really good and everyone was lovely and friendly. The kind man behind the reception ended up giving us two doubles as all the twins were in the same small section of the hotel so they would have all had the same noise. The doubles on the 1st floor were much nicer and had no noise. We brought our dog and everyone was so nice towards him, even letting us bring him to breakfast in the bar area and bringing him a sausage. I do think £30 is a bit steep for bringing a dog though considering the room is no different even if you haven’t brought one. I know other hotels that charge that high but they do give complementary treats, poo bags and have bowls and beds to use.

My husband and I visited the claremont on a Sunday to Friday all inclusive break . We found the break was excellent value for money ! We had a lovely big family room as that was only sea view room available lovely room but beds not very comfy . We last visited claremont approx 5 years ago and not much has changed . The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Mel our waitress was really friendly and very efficient ! The housekeeping are very good . The food was very good although the hot starters are a little odd but the quality of food is excellent. The entertainment was great and Ryan is very funny as always but he needs some new material for jokes ! Over all we really enjoyed our holiday and will return again even though we didn't win at bingo .! Thank you to all staff at The Claremont for all there hard work and making our holiday very memorable.
